CHANGING THE WORLD THROUGH ACCOUNTABLE FASHION & ACTIVISM.
In 2014, I met my family in Korea for the first time. My grandma travelled all the way from LA to Korea despite her painful condition so she could be reunited with her sister after over a decade. It was a much needed trip for her after my grandpa passed away. I felt so overwhelmed being able to witness such a beautiful, yet heart tearing moment. I was so thankful to be there. As we travelled to the country side to visit family and scurried around the city to meet meet more family, unexpectedly, Korea began to feel like home. Travelling with my grandma, mom and two aunts, we slept on the floor side by side each night at many different homes of many different relatives. As I got to learn about different family members and see their lives, my heart felt so blessed to be a part of such a beautiful, big family tree. To understand my roots and see my own life as a fruit of those before me was very humbling. It was definitely an epic trip.
